Questions and AnswersQuestions and Answers
Q: Is title free and clear? Are there maintenance records? Number of owners? Thanks. (1/29/20 8:38 PM)
A: The title is free and clear. We do not have maintenance records. I will check to see if we can find out the number of owners. Bike was purchase in March of 2015. Police department received he bike in April of 2019 and has been in storage since then. As far as we can tell it has only had one owner. (1/30/20 7:43 AM)
Q: do you have both key sets and FOB? (1/30/20 6:20 PM)
A: We have one key and FOB. (1/31/20 11:59 AM)
Q: It looks like 11911 miles on the odometer? The 7500 was on the trip meter. (2/8/20 11:17 PM)
A: Yes, the actual miles are 11,911. It was noticed after we had posted for auction. (2/10/20 8:10 AM)
Q: What is the reserve ? The winning bid was $13,351.00 plus the 12.5% buyers premium brought it to $15,100.00 and the taxes still had to be paid and the reserve still wasn’t met ? Then the reserve needs to be posted besides the fact that the high market value is about $15,900.00 ! Doesn’t make any sense ? (2/26/20 11:56 AM)
A: The reserve was met on the last auction. The winning bid defaulted and a second offer was offered to the second highest bid and declined. We have now re-auctioned the bike. I am sure the reserve will be met again. (2/26/20 12:04 PM)
Q: I thought I read in the guide lines for bidding that if there is a reserve it will be posted in the bid section. (2/26/20 12:36 PM)
A: GovDeals does not show the reserve price. But just above the current bid it tells you in big red letters if the reserve has not been met. (2/26/20 1:00 PM)
Q: Reserve Auctions If there is a reserve on the item, it will be disclosed in the bid box. If the auction ends without meeting the reserve amount, the seller may offer the item to the high bidder or re-list the item (2/26/20 1:15 PM)
A: Yes, it is disclosed. RESERVE NOT MET in red letters. This is the last question I will answer about the reserve. (2/26/20 1:30 PM)
Q: Did the winning bidder default again? If so, was it the same bidder as last time? Is this bidder being blocked? (3/19/20 10:52 AM)
A: yes, the winning bidder defaulted again. It was not the same bidder. I block all bidders that default for non-payment. (3/19/20 12:09 PM)
Q: Does the bike currently turn-over and run, or is the battery completely dead? Thank you. (3/24/20 8:31 PM)
A: The battery is completely dead. The bike was running when the person was stopped by the police department. Over a year ago. Bike has been in our storage shed. (3/25/20 8:30 AM)
Q: Couple of questions. 1. Will you be extending the pickup time to accommodate any travel restrictions resulting from COVID-19? I am in Tennessee and as of now there is nothing here regarding interstate travel but Illinois is intrastate only and who knows what the near future will bring. 2. My credit union has closed temporary due to COVID-19. Will you accept full CC payment in lieu of wire transfer? Thank you (3/25/20 12:28 PM)
A: We will work with the winning bidder on scheduling a pick up. We realize that this could take up to a month or so. As for the payment, you will need to call GovDeals. They are the ones that deal with payments. I have no control over that part. (3/25/20 1:53 PM)
Q: Would you guys be able to give the bike a jump to see if the bike turns over?? Even if you don’t start it I would just like to know if it turns over.. (3/25/20 11:58 PM)
A: I took a jump pack down and started the bike. Runs and sounds good. Popped right off. I will attach a video to the photos. Could not attach video. If you want to hear it run send me an email and I will get it to you. lynn.nardinger@ci.red-wing.mn.us (3/26/20 10:45 AM)
