Questions and AnswersQuestions and Answers
Q: What is the diameter of the main tube? Thanks (4/3/20 12:55 PM)
A: the measured diameter is 16inches (4/6/20 2:12 PM)
Q: Hello, can you tell me the diameter of the optical tube? Is the motorized fork base still attached to the fork mount? Do you have the hand control for the base? Are the Optics( mirror and lens) OK looking? Any cracks or chips? Do you have any more astro equipment that you are listing?Thank you for your help (4/4/20 10:32 AM)
A: the measured diameter is 16 inches. I am unsure of the motorized fork base or the hand controls. The Lense under the cover looks ok, no visible cracks or chips at this time. I am not an expert on this equipment, but you are more than welcome to come check the item out. We do not have any other astro equipment at this time to list. (4/6/20 2:14 PM)
Q: would like to have more detail information about this device such as weight, seize, and functionality. Thanks in anticipation (4/4/20 3:54 PM)
A: I am unsure of the weight and functionality. I will upload the diameter of the main tube shortly (4/6/20 2:07 PM)
Q: Please provide a photo showing the condition of the front lens. Are any other pieces/items included with this sale? Is the black pier included with this sale? (4/6/20 9:37 AM)
A: Yes the base is included. I will update the listing this afternoon with more photos. (4/6/20 2:06 PM)
Q: Hello, just wanted to ask again if you have the hand control and plug in cord that controls the motorized mount? Mount would most likely be unusable with out these, and they would be hard to purchase now days. If this was taken from an observatory, they probably kept all this together.. can you look to see if the 2 important pieces are around? Thanks (4/8/20 11:28 AM)
A: The only other items in the observatory with the telescope was a computer belonging to the school. The school removed such items already, leaving only the Telescope. Any Hand controls or cords have been lost to the years I'm afraid. (4/9/20 11:33 AM)
Q: Hello, I noticed in the pics the serial # plate/manufacture's name tag is missing from the front of the fork base... Celestron mounted these on the upper right corner of the face plate on base. Do you still have this tag/plate? Thanks (4/9/20 10:48 AM)
A: This astronomy program was decommissioned years ago. Any information on this item has been lost. I tried searching and finding what I could before it was listed. You are more than welcome to come examine the item. I am not an expert on such items. (4/9/20 11:27 AM)
