Payment in full is due not later than five (5) business days from the time and date of the Buyers Certificate. Payment must be made electronically through the GovDeals Website. (See Payment Methods above.)

TAX EXEMPTION: Where taxes are applicable (see the Buyer’s Certificate), Tax Exempt documents must be provided to this Seller within 24 hours of the auctions close and before payment is made. Please use the "Ask a Question' feature to contact the Seller with any questions.

Property may be removed by appointment only. Appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. All items must be removed within ten (10) business days from the close of the auction. A daily storage fee of $15.00 will be charged for any item not removed within the ten (10) business days allowed and as stated on the Buyer’s Certificate.

The Buyer must make all arrangements for pickup and removal of item(s) purchased. The Buyer is responsible for all work necessary to remove item(s) from the City of Lynchburg’s premises including packing, loading, and transporting. City of Lynchburg employees may not assist in the removal process.

Per GovDeals' requirements - The Buyer must provide a copy of the Buyer’s Certificate when the item is picked up because the Buyer’s Certificate is Proof-of-Purchase from If you use a Third-Party Transporter to remove your item: you must notify the Seller that you are using a Transporter; you must provide the Transporter with a signed copy of the Buyer's Certificate to give to the Seller at time of pickup because the signed Buyer's Certificate proves to the Seller that the Transporter is who you authorized to pick up your asset; and you must furnish the Seller, ahead of the Transporter's arrival, a signed Authorization of Release form as well as a signed Bill of Sale. Vehicle Title(s) will be issued after payment is made and when you pick up your item(s). If you use a Third-Party Transporter, Vehicle Title(s) will be handled per your instructions.
